Transport Consultation - Dunston 20mph Zone

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 30 November 2022 the Council made The Borough Council of Gateshead (Dunston Area, Gateshead)(20mph Zone)(Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Traffic Regulation Order 2022 the effect of which will come into force on the 9 December 2022

The Order

a.    Incorporates the roads contained in The Borough Council of Gateshead (Dunston South Area) (20mph Speed Limit Zone) Order 2005 into this Order and to introduce the new items set out in Schedule 1 below;
b.    Introduces a prohibition of driving in the lengths of road set out in Schedule 2 below;
c.    Introduces Prohibition Waiting At Any Time in the lengths of road set out in Schedule 3 below; 
d.    Introduces Prohibition of Loading At Any Time in the lengths of road set out in Schedule 4 below;
e.    revokes and amend the orders as set out in the Order.

The Order together with a plans and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be examined below or at Gateshead Council's Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead, NE8 1HH Monday to Thursday between 8:45am and 4:30pm and Friday between 8:45am and 4:00pm or you can request a copy by contacting legaltrafficorders@gateshead.gov.uk (Ref: TS/4884).

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under them has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
