Transport Consultation - Glenridding Close Gateshead - 20mph Zone
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 7th December 2022 the Council made The Borough Council of Gateshead (Glenridding Close, Gateshead)(20mph Zone)(Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Traffic Regulation Order 2022 which comes into effect on the 19 December 2022.
The order will:
- Introduce a 20mph Zone at the locations set out in Schedule 1 below (initially proposed as an amendment to the 2009 Speed Limit Consolidation Order).
- Introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time at the locations set out in Schedule 2 below.

The Order together with notice of making, plans and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, are also attached to this consultation or a copy can be requested by contacting telephone number (0191) 4332169 (Ref: TS/4639).
If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under them has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
