Transport Consultation - Glenridding Close Gateshead - 20mph Zone
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council is proposing to introduce The Borough Council of Gateshead (Glenridding Close, Gateshead)(20mph Zone)(Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Traffic Regulation Order 2020 AND The Borough Council of Gateshead Highways Act 1980 - Section 90C (Dunston Area, Gateshead) Proposed Construction of Road Humps.
The proposed order will:
- Amend The Borough Council of Gateshead (Speed Limits) (Consolidation) Order 2009 is amended by inserting into Schedule 2 Part II ‘speed limit zones’ the items set out in Schedule 1 below.
- Introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time at the locations set out in Schedule 2 below.

The Road Hump proposal consists of introducing:-
- One pair of speed cushions with a height of 75mm and a width of 1.9m and length of 3m and a 700mm drainage channel either side of the carriageway at the locations specified in Schedule 1 below;
- Beacon Lough Road – 10.7m south west of its junction with Carlisle Place
- Beacon Lough Road – 98.7m south west of its junction with Carlisle Place
