Transport Consultation - Cross Lane Dunston - Prohibition of Driving
Notice is hereby given that following the experimental traffic order relating to Cross Lane Dunston made in June 2022, the Council are proposing to introduce The Borough Council of Gateshead (Cross Lane, Dunston) Traffic Regulation Order.
***This proposal was originally advertised on the 13 October 2023. The notice of Intention and Schedule to the draft Order have been revised to clarify that the proposed prohibition affects both northbound and southbound traffic along the section of road described.****
The proposed order will revoke the 2022 experimental traffic order and introduce a prohibiton of driving along Cross Lane, Dunston as further described in the Notice of Intention attached to this consultation and can be found below.
The draft Order together with a plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined online at the information desk on the ground floor reception of Gateshead Council’s Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead NE8 1HH, Monday to Thursday between 8.45am and 5.00pm and Friday between 8.45am and 4.30pm or online at: www.gateshead.gov.uk/trafficschemes (Ref: IKEN/015903).
If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds for your objection in writing to be received by the undersigned at the above address on or before 01 December 2023. NOTE - If you have already submitted a representation and your views remain the same, you do not need to submit a further representation. Previously received responses will be considered when the Council make their decision regarding the proposal.
