Specialist and Supported Housing Supplementary Planning Document

The Council is consulting on the Specialist and Supported Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). The SPD will provide guidance to those intending to develop specialist and supported accommodation in Gateshead. It sets out i) what the Council takes into account when considering the suitability of specialist and supported accommodation; ii) expected general standards for development; iii) matters of consideration relating to specific types of accommodation.

The SPD is being consulted on for a period of 6 weeks where comments can be made on the SPD. The SPD can be viewed on the Council website or by prior appointment at Gateshead Civic Centre (Monday to Friday 8.45am to 4.30pm) at the address below:
