Petition
Lobley Hill Residents objection to Beechwood Hall Lettings

It has been brought to the attention of Lobley Hill residents that owners of the former Beechwood Hall Residential Care Home intend to let out 19 bedrooms as short term lets. Locals attended a brief meeting with Councillors Catherine Donovan and Eileen McMaster to discuss this and a number of concerns were brought to light, namely the kind of tenants that the low cost, short term leases will attract and the disturbance this will cause to the home owners nearby.

Background information »

Issues include parking for 19 tenants when only 5 off street bays are available; the noise and disruption that will be caused by the large number of people living in such a small area; and the close proximity this property has to Lobley Hill Primary and Nursery School. This petition seeks the Council to immediately stop the use of the property in this way.
