Urgently Need a Review of a Zebra Crossing Situated at Sunderland Road Felling leading to Carlisle Street. Cars simply don't adhere to Crossing and Traffic Lights are Urgently Required for Public Safety
Hi All,
I am very concerned about this crossing near Brandling Primary School which has had many recent Accidents and a previous fatality. My Father was involved in a hit and run today and I'm having to wait until Thursday afternoon for the police to contact me to make a report !! This Crossing really does warrant modern renewal with traffic lights before another fatality or Accident occurs. I commence a public petition to ensure the Public's Health & Safety is a Priority .

Around 10am this morning My 78 yr old Dad was on his way home from the cemetery on his mobility scooter crossing Sunderland Road via the Zebra crossing when a car hit him Spun his scooter 360 degrees and drove off . He has been very lucky and not seriously injured Thankfully However his scooter smashed by the impact. Anyone seen or has CCTV footage can you let me know please. Rang the Police to report a Road traffic accident and hit and run to be told they will ring me back on Thursday !!! The person who drove off shame on you �� For all you know there could have been a person lying in the road fighting for there Life !! Hopefully it's caught on Camera .
The petition did not reach the minimum number of signatures required to be debated at Council or be considered at an overview and scrutiny panel.
