Objection to the proposed change of purpose and license of the building that was formally Porkys Restaurant.
We, the residents of the Low Fell area are objecting to the transformation of the building that was formally Porkys Restaurant into O'Malleys Irish Sports Bar. We strongly believe that this will attract noise and nuisance to the local area. A sports bar will predominantly bring a boisterous male community to our immeadiate vacinity. Once alcohol is in the mix this will open us up to all the noise and drink fueled problems as it did when Porkys showed the Euros in the outside area. This is not the kind of facility that should be in a family/residential area.
The petition did not reach the minimum number of signatures required to be debated at Council or be considered at an overview and scrutiny panel.
