Transport Consultation - Bus Lanes Gateshead - Amendment No.1

Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to make THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD (BUS LANES GATESHEAD)(AMENDMENT NO.1) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2017

The Council proposes to amend the existing Bus Lanes Traffic Regulation Order 2014 in the Gateshead Felling Bypass and Wrekenton Areas of the Borough.  The intention of the proposed Order is to introduce:

1. A definition into the Order of "Authorised Vehicles";

2. Enforcement of the bus lane for local buses only along a length of road;

3. Enforcement of the bus lane along several lengths of road - with exemptions; and

4. Enforcement of the bus gates along several lengths of road - with exemptions.
